These six original compositions were created for a play I wrote titled Glitter in the Paʻakai, produced at UH Mānoa in February 2024. The play was developed through the Hana Keaka (Hawaiian Theatre) program under the direction of Kumu Hailiʻōpua Baker.

Mahalo to my parents, Walter and Kuʻuipo Tavares, who have inspired me since I was a little kid to follow my dreams. Mahalo to Ikaika Mendez and Taisamasama Kaiminaauao-Eteuati who were instrumental in the refining and finalizing of these songs in their original form and arrangements. Massive mahalo to Zachary Lum and Michael Grande for bringing these mele to life in this way, my first time releasing original music like this. Mahalo e ke Akua, nā kūpuna, nā kumu, nā hoa a me ka ʻohana no ke kākoʻo.

These songs are a huakaʻi, a journey through some of the places that raised me. I hope you enjoy the ride. Eō Kona Hema!
