Joshua "Baba" Tavares (he/him) is a Native Hawaiian actor, singer, dancer, model, and teacher based out of Honolulu, Hawaiʻi. He is currently an MFA candidate at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa with a double track in Acting and Hana Keaka (Hawaiian Theatre). He most recently played Angel in the 20th Anniversary National Tour of the Broadway musical sensation RENT and he also opened the show as a model in New York Fashion Week with Dezigns by Kamohoaliʻi. He teaches acting and offers performing arts workshops and one one one coaching for auditions and performances throughout the islands. Mahalo!
